FAQs RFID
What are the benefits of using RFID technology?
RFID technology streamlines inventory management by enabling quick and accurate tracking of equipment. It reduces human error and speeds up check-ins and check-outs.
How does RFID scanning work with AV equipment?
RFID tags are attached to your equipment, an RFID scanner reads these tags to identify and track items. Each tag has a unique identifier that corresponds to information in your database.
How can RFID help my AV company?
RFID can significantly improve the efficiency and therefore profitability of your company by streamlining inventory management, reducing losses, and improving operational workflows.
What is the range of RFID scanners?
The range depends on the type of RFID scanner and tag used. Passive RFID tags, which is what we use for AV equipment, typically have a range of a few meters. This is enough to scan everything in a flight case, while not scanning the entire warehouse by accident.
Are RFID tags durable enough for AV equipment and the rough AV world?
Yes, our RFID tags are available in two main form factors: Hardtags and Stickers. Hardtags are designed to withstand different environments, including rugged or outdoor conditions. They are IP67 which means that they are water proof.
The stickers on the other hand are a bit more prone to damage and therefore need a more protected place to be attached to.
